In the history of the Indian Premier League, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has never won a game where he has walked out to bat during his team's chases. A proper pacer by profession, there have been 34 instances where he has walked out to bat in the lower order to finish off the chase, but his side has never emerged victorious and he ended up losing those 34 games.

In Sunrisers Hyderabad's most recent game against the Kolkata Knight Riders, on Thursday, May 4, Bhuvneshwar walked out to bat in the final few overs. He remained unbeaten scoring a run-a-ball five, but his team ended up losing. In SRH's game against the Delhi Capitals this season in Hyderabad, Mukesh Kumar restricted Bhuvneshwar Kumar from scoring runs in the final over, as DC clinched a victory.
