India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has quickly become an important part of team India’s arsenal. At just 22, Jaiswal has showcased his class and is on his way to become one of the very important players in the side. A lot of Jaiswal’s success can be credited to the company he keeps on the field.
Batting alongside the likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and many other legends, the youngster gets to learn a lot. Jaiswal made his India debut in July 2023 and has managed to forge an excellent partnership with veteran Rohit Sharma.
Recently, the 22-year-old took centre stage and talked about how much of a learning experience it has been to bat alongside Rohit and how incredible of an experience it is to bat with him.
"It is an incredible experience whenever I go out and bat with him. He has shared his experiences with me. I think the way he controls the game and understands the wicket, it is spot on and there are a lot of things (to learn from him). You can learn from him things like adjusting your batting to seaming or turning tracks or change your batting when a wicket or two fall," Jaiswal was quoted as saying by Sportskeeda.

"Now, I can see a lot of scenarios and shift my game (accordingly) for the team and read the situations. I think these are very important for me in the last one year. When I was playing domestic cricket, I was not aware of many things. But since I started playing international cricket, the communication and the reading of the game have improved a lot. I just want to keep learning,” he added.
It is worth noting that Yashasvi Jaiswal has played 23 T20Is and nine Tests for India so far, where he has scored 723 and 1028 runs, respectively. With a stellar start to his career, Jaiswal’s trajectory has been looking up. He was also a part of India’s T20 World Cup winning squad.
