Team India had a job in hand when they took centre stage against South Africa for the third T20I of the series at the Wanderers Stadium on Thursday, December 15. After losing the second T20I, team India had all to play for in the final game, and the side did just that.

However, one of the biggest highlights of the game was an injury scare for the Men in Blue. During the second innings, skipper Suryakumar Yadav rolled his ankle while fielding and injured himself. The star batter was immediately carried out of the field and did not come back afterward.

Furthermore, he was seen limping to the post-match presentation ceremony, where he talked about the extent of his injury. In a huge sigh of relief for the fans, the skipper revealed that the injury is not that serious and he should be fine soon.

"I am good. I am able to walk, so it is not looking that serious. It was wonderful scoring a hundred, and especially when it comes to a winning cause. One box we wanted to tick was to play a fearless brand of cricket. Really happy the boys showed a lot of character. Kuldeep is never happy with a three-for or a four-for. A perfect self-birthday present," Suryakumar Yadav said after the match.

India set their sight on the ODI series

The three-game T20I series between South Africa and India finally came to an end. After losing the second clash, India came into the third T20I, meaning business. The game at the Wanderers Stadium began with India batting first after losing the toss, and the side put in a brilliant performance with the bat.

To open the innings, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 60 runs in 41 deliveries. Furthermore, Suryakumar Yadav showcased his class by scoring 100 runs in 56 deliveries. Posting a mammoth total of 201 runs in the first innings, India followed it up by showcasing their prowess with the ball as well.

Kuldeep Yadav took five wickets, Ravindra Jadeja took two, and Mukesh Kumar and Arshdeep Singh struck once each as South Africa was bundled out for 95 runs and India won the game by 106 runs. India will not play three-match ODI series against South Africa, starting December 17.
