Jake Fraser-McGurk will be here for the long haul: Robin Uthappa

The Delhi Capitals (DC) earned their second win of the IPL 2024 by defeating the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by six wickets, at the BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on April 12. Lucknow took to bat first and put up a total of 167 runs, but Delhi chased it down with 1.5 overs to spare. JioCinema IPL experts Eoin Morgan, RP Singh, and Robin Uthappa praised the partnership between Rishabh Pant (41 runs) and debutant Jake Fraser-McGurk (55 runs), along with Kuldeep Yadav's (3/20) performance on Match Centre Live. 

Eoin Morgan on Kuldeep Yadav - "He was the difference between the sides today. The wickets that he took, skipper KL Rahul and Nicholas Pooran, two big players for LSG. That's exactly what you want. The impact he's made since coming back from injury is priceless. In many ways, the Delhi Capitals can put their win down to him tonight, brilliant performance. Again, reiterating the role of the wrist spinner in the middle phase of the game."

Robin Uthappa on Jake Fraser-McGurk - "I feel like he'll be here for the long haul. Great way to start off his career in the IPL. Got off the mark with a six, got a fifty in his first IPL game, and scored shots in front of the wicket, on the off and on side. I think he meant business. There are some weaknesses here and there, but I think they'll be found out in the years to come if he stays on top of it."

RP Singh on the Pant-Fraser partnership - "They needed a partnership which could put together 30-40 runs to strengthen DC's control on the game. Fraser did that alongside Rishabh Pant. It was intelligent batting. Rishabh Pant also played his shots, the shots he's known for, he looked to be in that form today. The partnership ensured the victory, but they'll be thinking why they didn't finish the game and come back. That partnership made DC's hold on the game incredibly strong."
