The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all rounder Jamie Overton recently revealed the craze of MS Dhoni in India and how fans celebrate him while he walks into the stadium to bat. Dhoni is one of the most loved players in the country and has had a glorious career in international cricket. Hence, he has fans everywhere.

Since the 43-year-old cricketer has retired from international cricket, he only plays in the IPL (Indian Premier League). The veteran star batter has many fans all over the country, as they come to watch him bat in every game. There are times when the home team didn't get as much support from the fans as CSK.

Overton opened up about the atmosphere when MS Dhoni bats. Also, he compared all the other sports and said that he had never heard any noise like that on anyone's entry.

"I messaged my dad and my agent after the first home game. I was like, 'You have to come out and experience MS walking out to the middle. [Ravindra] Jadeja got run out, and you had a home crowd cheering for someone to get run-out. I've watched Premier League games, plenty of other sports events, and there's nothing else like that noise," said Overton on ESPNCricinfo.

CSK are in do-or-die position in IPL 2025

The five-time IPL champions are in a tough spot this season. They struggled to win matches in the first half, with five back-to-back defeats. Now, they are in a position where losing one more game can push them out of the tournament. Even MS Dhoni's captaincy couldn't help the CSK batters from realising their potential and playing accordingly.

The upcoming game is a do-or-die match for CSK. They look forward to winning the game and staying alive in the league. The Super Kings have won just two matches out of the eight played. So, the batters will have to show a lot more intent than they have until now and help the team get past the victory line.
