In the electrifying ICC World Cup 2023, spinner Kuldeep Yadav showered praise on the pace duo of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj. India, amid a raucous home crowd, has commenced their campaign with resounding victories, clinching four wins on the trot. This stellar run places them in an elite bracket of just two unbeaten teams in the tournament.
India's bowling contingent has been nothing short of extraordinary, notching up an impressive tally of 36 wickets in their last four encounters. The pace trio of Bumrah, Siraj, and Hardik Pandya, has consistently wielded a significant influence throughout the tournament. However, their reliance on Bumrah and Siraj was magnified when Pandya succumbed to an ankle injury against Bangladesh, requiring assistance off the field. Bumrah, occupies the second spot on the wicket-takers list, amassing 10 scalps, while Siraj and the versatile all-rounder, have contributed five wickets apiece.
Apart from the blistering pace assault, India's fortunes also hinge on the spin tandem of Kuldeep and Jadeja in the imminent fixtures. Jadeja's sheer adaptability has shone through, amassing seven crucial wickets and holding the fourth-most frugal economy rate in the competition at 3.75 runs per over. Meanwhile, the left-arm spinner's craft has been nothing short of impressive, bagging six scalps and maintaining the seventh-lowest economy rate, permitting a mere 4.1 runs per over.
