Jasprit Bumrah is the template of success: Trent Boult
"There is a guy called Jasprit Bumrah who'll come up against us tonight who is the leader for whoever is trying to get better," Boult said.
Rajasthan Royals’ star pacer Trent Boult has been influential for the side over the years, taking crucial wickets at crucial times of the game. With his stellar performances over the years, the 34-year-old has become one of the best pacers in the tournament’s history.
Before Rajasthan’s recent clash of the IPL 2024 against Mumbai Indians, Boult named MI’s ace Jasprit Bumrah as one huge inspiration for any bowler trying to improve his game.
Boult sought inspiration from Bumrah and heaped praise on the Indian pacer’s mindset. He opined that every bowler should look up to Bumrah, and if they can replicate his mindset, they will be successful.
"There is a guy called Jasprit Bumrah who'll come up against us tonight who is the leader for whoever is trying to get better. I think he's the template. If we have the mindset like him to try and keep getting better, I think we'll be in the right place," Boult was quoted as saying by IndiaToday.
"This year's been very exciting, the crowds are getting what they want. I have read a few things from the experts and I agree with it that it's a good opportunity for the bowlers to showcase their worth, find ways to get better,” he added.
