The defeat in the ODI World Cup 2023 final saw many Indian hearts break. After losing to Pat Cummins-led Australia in the summit clash of the tournament, the Indian team just fell short of their ultimate goal and missed out on reaching the pinnacle of international cricket.

After losing the final, many Indian players came forward to express their feelings; however, star pacer Jasprit Bumrah was one player who did not say anything after losing the summit clash.

Speaking of why he did not say anything, Bumrah opined that sometimes silence is the best answer to a situation. “Silence is sometimes the best answer,” Bumrah wrote on his Instagram story.

Bumrah was sensational for India in ODI World Cup 2023

The Indian team was sensational in the recently concluded ODI World Cup 2023, hosting the tournament, the Men in Blue went unbeaten throughout the group stage of the competition. Winning the nine out of nine matches, the side looked to be heading straight towards the title.

Furthermore, they also broke their Kiwi curse, defeating the mighty New Zealand in the first semi-final of the tournament. Throughout the tournament, Bumrah was one of the more consistent players for the side.

Being one of the highest wicket-takers for the side, Bumrah also finished the tournament as the fourth-highest wicket-taker, taking 20 wickets in the 11 matches that he played. His performance was key for the team in reaching the summit clash of the tournament.

Furthermore, Bumrah also looked sensational in the World Cup final, putting the Aussies on the back foot, taking two wickets and conceding 43 runs in nine overs that he bowled.

However, his two wickets were not enough in the clash to propel India to the title as Australia won the game by six wickets.
