Premier India pacer Jasprit Bumrah had an impressive tour against Australia where he emerged as the player of the series. Bumrah was carrying the Indian team with his amazing display of seam bowling. There were many moments which made the battle intense between the two teams. One such rare moment in the game was when the speedster who is usually known for his calm demeanour, ended up having a verbal spat with the young Australian opener, Sam Konstas.

Notably, the incident took place during the fifth and final Test in Sydney. Now during an event, recently, Bumrah opened up about the spat and revealed that the people might have misinterpreted the words that were exchanged between both the players during the match.

“Pata nahi isme to aapko kuch aur lag raha hoga, main to usse puch raha tha ki ‘sab theek hai? Mummy theek hai, ghar par sab theek hai? (‘I don’t know what you guys are thinking but I mainly asked him, ‘Is everything okay?’ Is your mother fine, is everything at home fine?’)," Bumrah was quoted as saying by Indian Express.

“Usne bola ‘haan theek hai’ to maine bola ‘Acha theek hai ab ball daal deta hoon.’ Aap logo ne kuch aur interpret kar liya hoga. I think udhar words nahi the to maybe miscommunication ho gaya hoga. (He said ‘Yes, it’s fine?’ to which I said ‘Now, I will bowl’. You guys must have interpreted it as something else. I think the lack of words may have caused some miscommunication). Incidents like these happen when the game is close," the 31-year-old concluded.
