Jos Buttler to miss West Indies ODIs with calf injury, Liam Livingstone to lead

Liam Livingstone is set to captain England in the upcoming white-ball tour against West Indies. The development comes as regular skipper Jos Buttler suffered yet another setback on his road to recovery from a calf injury. 

Buttler has not played for England since the T20 World Cup in June and will miss the three one-day internationals in the Caribbean. He was named in the ODI squad initially, however, he was later removed due to the setback. Meanwhile, Buttler has been named in the T20I squad.

England will kick off the series against the West Indies with three ODIs. The first two matches will be held in North Sound on October 31 and November 2 while the third will be held in Bridgetown on November 6. After the conclusion of the ODI series, the two teams will face off in five T20Is, set to be played on November 10 to 18.

The Windies tour will surely test the side’s depth. The side will be without the services of Harry Brook and Ben Duckett, due to which Liam Livingstone has been named the skipper.

England looking to clinch Test series against Pakistan

Currently, England are in Pakistan, gearing up for the third and final Test. After a comfortable win in the first Test, England failed to breeze past Pakistan in the second clash and with the score level, both sides will aim to put in their best performances for the third Test. England and Pakistan will lock horns in the third Test at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from October 24 in the series decider.
