New Zealand batter Kane Williamson enjoyed Jos Buttler's innings against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the IPL 2025. Speaking about it, the former Gujarat Titans (GT) player felt Buttler's mindset changed due to the new dressing room environment. The cricketer, who is working as an expert at present, felt Buttler used conventional shots to score runs and did not have to change his technique.

Williamson also claimed Buttler to be amongst the league's most consistent batters in the last eight years. The Kiwi believed it was a good sign for GT to see the English batter's consistent run in the IPL 2025 so far.

"What I’m really enjoying about Jos at the moment is that, while many big hitters in other teams are looking to hit every ball for six, he remains totally committed to and trusting of his game plan. Over the last eight years, he has consistently been one of the top batters and a match-winner in world cricket. We saw that again this evening, and it bodes really well for GT as we advance in the tournament," said Williamson on JioHotstar.

Siraj bowled with real fire in his belly: Williamson

Williamson was asked about the bowling spell of Mohammed Siraj in the match to which he said that the right-arm pacer was familiar with the bowling conditions in Bengaluru and he bowled with great aggression. Williamson felt that the GT pacer deserved his POTM award for setting the tone of the game early, ensuring Buttler finished things in style.

"Siraj is obviously familiar with the conditions at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. He bowled with real fire in his belly, led the attack with aggression, and bowled with some excellent pace. He was deservedly named Player of the Match. While Jos Buttler was outstanding and back to his best in the second innings, Siraj set the tone early on, making a significant impact for GT," he added.

In his spell of four overs, Siraj registered figures of 3/19. Buttler, in his stay in the middle, scored an unbeaten 73*(39) and helped GT win the match by eight wickets.
