As the high-octane Rivalry Week of the 2025 Indian Premier league (IPL) is going on, all eyes are on the clash scheduled for April 10 between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

The veteran Indian actor Suniel Shetty was asked in a show to pick a side in the much-anticipated match, whether he would support Virat Kohli or KL Rahul. In response, the 63-year-old actor gave a heartfelt answer, saying he hopes to see Rahul’s team win but wishes for Kohli to score big in the game.

Shetty also expressed his admiration for the 36-year-old, calling the star batter his all-time favourite. He praised Kohli's unmatched fitness, his relentless approach to the game, and the intensity with which he plays every match. Shetty saluted Kohli for his consistent grind and dedication.

“KL Rahul to win and Kohli to score a hundred. But, Kohli has always been my favourite. The manner in which he plays the game, his entire approach, his fitness; hats off to the grind,” said Suniel Shetty on JioStar.

The Indian stalwart has been part of the RCB franchise for 18 years, having played for only one team  throughout his entire career in IPL. On the other hand wicketkeeper-batter Rahul, who has previously captained Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), was acquired by the DC during the IPL mega auction in November last year.

Both players are in good touch this season as Kohli has already scored two half-centuries in the 2025 IPL, while Rahul, having featured in two matches so far, scored a crucial half-century against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

With two greats involved in the game, fans can expect a high-scoring thriller. DC have won all the three matches they played so far, while RCB have suffered one defeat in their four games. Both teams will be eager to sustain their momentum and maintain their position in the points table.
