Legends Intercontinental League inaugural season dates revealed

The inaugural edition of the Legends Intercontinental League will kickstart on August 18 and will continue till the 30th of the month. The league committee announced its schedule on Saturday, August 3 as a total of seven teams—Indo Kings, Asian Avengers, Euro Rangers, American Mavericks, Trans-Tasman Titans, African Lions, and Caribbean Vikings will be fighting it out for the coveted trophy.

Indo Kings will kickstart the tournament against Asian Avengers, while the final league game will be played between Trans-Tasman Titans and the African Lions on August 28. Both the semi-finals will be played on August 29, while the final will be played on the following day. The entire tournament will be played in the round-robin format and the top four teams of the league will move on to the next round, which will be the beginning of the knockout stage.

Arun Pandey, Chairman & COO of LIT20, called the tournament a celebration of cricket and that he was excited to see so many talented players coming forward to entertain the fans. By hosting it, he wants to inspire the next gen of cricketers and stated that he can’t wait for the show to begin.

CEO Vishal Sharma talked about delivering an extraordinary experience for the players and the spectators and tha the team is working around the clock to ensure everything is perfect.
