"It was hot while fielding today, I haven't done a lot of exercise in the heat, it got a hold on me today. I wanted to stay back and get some movement (on my legs). “Thanks a lot. Feeling very good to become the first Afghan player to score a 100 against in World Cups. I want to score many more hundreds. I worked very hard for this tournament. Against Pakistan, I missed my ton, so I wanted to make it up in this game. I was feeling like I’d get a hundred in the next 3 matches. Wicket is playing well, I passed the message on that we need to target 280-285. If we had wickets in hand, then maybe even 300 or 330 would be possible. We lost some wickets in the end, but Rashid came out and played brilliantly. Our aim was to score at least these many runs, and then field and bowl well. I had a good chat with Sachin Tendulkar yesterday, he shared a lot of his experiences that I can’t express. I’m very thankful to him for sharing his experiences and giving me a lot of confidence,” Zadran said.

"Not too much. We would have had a bat but it is fine. Two changes.. Steve struggled in the warm-ups and he's going to miss out, Cam Green misses out as well, Maxwell and Marsh are in. Really happy with the way we have gone, five in a row, one of the most pleasing things is we have 14 guys played so far and everyone has played well, long may that continue. It is always a factor, it was a bit cooler than it was a month ago, we will be fine we have got plenty of bowling options," Cummins said.

"We want to bat first. The wicket looks good now and we are hopeful it will seam and spin in the second innings. We have done well chasing but you also have to look at the opposition and the ground. He is a legend of the game, we were excited to see him and learn him, he had some words for us and we will try to learn from that. We have one change - Fazalhaq is not playiing, Naveen is playing," Shahidi said.

Skipper Pat Cummins confirmed that Steve Smith will be missing the game along with Cameron Green, who is suffering from back spasms. 

Naveen-ul-Haq comes in place of Fazalhaq Farooqi.

Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bat first.

“Very flat and very even, but it is probably on the drier side than I have seen in the past," reckons Aaron Finch. "I can clearly see there's not enough grass cover on this pitch because it is unlike a Wankhede pitch. Advantage Afghanistan because of the kind of track that is there, it might grip and turn a little bit whether it is bowling first or second. It is always best, with humidity around, to bat first and put runs on the board," adds Sanjay Bangar.
