The beer snake during the Adelaide Test is said to have cost a fortune. A lot of money was put into the stacks of beer, which caused a lot of drama during the day/night Test at the Adelaide Oval among the players, including Mohammed Siraj and Marnus Labuschagne, who were affected by this expensive joke. It is said that the man bought the infamous 'beer snake' for worth 2.33 lakhs.

The Adelaide Test might have been a one-sided event, with the Hosts getting the better of the Indian team in the end. However, there were still many dramatic moments in the match, especially with Mohammed Siraj, who was also penalised for his behaviour on the field. These were some of the viral moments that upset some experts, who were disappointed by the pacer's actions.

The first dramatic moment started on the second day of the Test match where Labuschagne had backed out before the delivery due to a fan taking a stack of 250 empty cups of beer and walking past the sight screen. This also resulted in Siraj throwing the ball at Marnus Labuschagne in frustration. It turns out that the fan’s name was Lachie Burtt who was just having a bit of fun. It was also revealed that Burtt had spent 2750 Australian Dollars for the beer snake prank which if converted to Indian rupees is priced at 2.33 lakhs. It is safe to say that everyone had to pay a price for this joke.

During that moment it might have been fun and games for the 21-year-old and his 7 friends, but it also affected the game as well as the players were playing a long day of Test Cricket. Burtt in the end apologized for his actions during the game in an interview with 9News.

“ I didn't really have time to stop and think what I was doing right now and what the effects were going to be because of it. I did feel a bit silly, it wasn't the right thing … sorry Marnus," Said Burtt.
