Meanwhile, it will be a rematch of the final from two years ago as reigning champions Indi, take on 2023 runners-up England at the Bayuemas Oval.

Both the teams are undefeated heading into the semi-final stage, with India in red-hot form, creating a supremacy on the back of Gongadi Trisha, who has scored 230 runs in five innings at an average of 76.66 and a strike rate of 155.40. India boast the competition’s two leading wicket-takers as well, with Vaishnavi Sharma and Aayushi Shukla bagging 12 and 10 scalps respectively.

On the other hand, England have been hampered by the weather at times, but have three wins to their name in the matches which have survived the conditions. Seventeen-year-old spinner Tilly Corteen-Coleman came to the fore in their final Super 6 victory against New Zealand, taking 4/8 in her quota, while opener Davina Perrin has been in top form with 131 runs in four innings.

The day’s first semi-final will see South Africa and Australia lock horns. The Proteas came out on top in that meeting between the senior sides and their stars of tomorrow will look to follow suit, having qualified as Group 2 winners from the Super 6 stage.

South Africa’s bowling has been particularly devastating: they have conceded just 144 runs in their four matches, including their dismissal of Samoa for 16 and Ireland’s rout of 35. Meanwhile, Australia have just as impressive but come into the semi-final after slipping to their first defeat of the tournament - a 12-run loss against Sri Lanka in their most recent Super 6 encounter.
