Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni is often seen catching headlines, and the 42-year-old once again became the talk of the town after he was seen with his fans in avillage, sitting and posing with them for pictures. The former skipper visited his ancestral home in the state and was captured spending time with the village elders in a wholesome moment that has been making the rounds all over social media.
Dhoni visited the Lwali village, located in the Almora district of Uttarakhand along with his wife, Sakshi. His wife was the one who took to Instagram to share glimpses of both of them visiting the village.
Many expected the former skipper to be present at the Wankhede Stadium, witnessing India’s exceptional performance against New Zealand in the semi-final of the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023. However, the 42-year-old was in Uttarakhand instead.

India reach their fourth ODI World Cup final
Talking of team India, the side made history as they reached their fourth ODI World Cup final. The Men in Blue took on New Zealand in the semi-final of the tournament at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday, November 15.
The game began with India coming in to bat first, and the hosts put in a brilliant performance with star batters Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer completing their centuries after a quickfire start from Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill.
Kohli scored 117 runs in 113 deliveries, with Iyer amassing 105 runs in 70 deliveries to help the team post 397 in the first innings. The Black Caps had an arduous task of chasing down the total and they put forth a tough battle as Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell played brilliant knocks. However, Mohammed Shami’s brilliant seven-wicket haul helped India bundle New Zealand out for 327 runs, winning the game by 70 runs in the end.
