MS Dhoni receives notice from Jharkhand High Court surrounding business dispute
The case was lodged by two of Dhoni's former business partners, Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Das.
Former World Cup-winning captain, MS Dhoni, was issued a notice by the Jharkhand High Court on Tuesday. The case against him was filed by his ex-business partners, Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Das. The two of them are directors of Aarka Sports and Management Ltd. They had previously struck a deal with Dhoni to launch cricket academies using his name.
Dhoni lodged a formal accusation against them on January 5 in Ranchi, alleging them to have duped him of INR 15 crore. In the legal claim, Dhoni claimed that Diwakar and Das continued to open academies using his name despite him withdrawing their authority in 2021. The co-directors of the sports management company have challenged the notice sent out by the court of a judicial magistrate by moving the High Court.

As per the recent developments according to NDTV, Dhoni has been directed to appear in the High Court and elaborate his stand in front of a jury. Dhoni had collaborated with both of them way back in 2017 to establish the academies.
