MS Dhoni reveals best compliment he has received in life

Legendary cricketer MS Dhoni has helped India win three ICC tournaments - the T20 World Cup in 2007, the ODI World Cup in 2011 and the Champions Trophy in 2013. Many current and former cricketers believe that no Indian captain would be able to repeat the three-peat and lauded Dhoni for achieving the unthinkable. Over the years, he has received many compliments in life but Dhoni revealed that the best compliment he ever got was from his wife.

Dhoni mentioned that he has indeed received many compliments but his wife saying that the 43-year-old has done alright in life was the best compliment he got. He also revealed that Sakshi, his wife, doesn’t give out compliments often.

“I think a lot of people have complimented me but my wife saying I have done alright in life, that’s a big compliment you know. She doesn’t give a lot of compliments. We are all trying to impress our wives,” Dhoni said in the latest episode of an online talk show, ‘Tread Talks’.

Notably, the 43-year-old will be playing for Chennai Super Kings in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. There were doubts about his participation in the tournament, but the five-time champions managed to convince the Rachi-born cricketer as he has been registered for INR 4 crore.

However, ahead of the season, Dhoni revealed that he isn’t in the best shape of his life but he expects to get better once the season draws closer. Meanwhile, as per reports, the coming edition of the cash-rich league is expected to begin in the third week of March. BCCI are yet to confirm the dates but March 15 looks a possibility.
