Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni has revealed his love for tennis quite a few times in recent years. The 42-year-old has many times admitted to being an ardent fan of the legendary Rafael Nadal.

His love for the game reached above and beyond, as Dhoni was spotted enjoying a game of the ongoing US Open tournament. The former Indian skipper was seen in the stands enjoying the quarter-final clash between Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev as both players looked to book their berth in the semi-finals.

In a clip that has been doing the rounds all over social media, Dhoni is captured sitting in the background in the stands as the camera focuses on Alcaraz in the break. In the clip, Dhoni is seen laughing alongside some of his friends.

Dhoni enjoying his time away from cricket

Dhoni recently led Chennai Super Kings to their fifth IPL title as they defeated Gujarat Titans in the summit clash of the IPL 2023 in May 2023. Winning the title, Dhoni has been enjoying his time away from the sport ever since. Over the past few months, the former skipper has often been seen by fans. Whether that be on the streets of Ranchi, or in a flight, there is no doubt that Dhoni is enjoying life after retirement.

Meanwhile, whether Dhoni will be participating in the 17th edition of the IPL in 2024 remains a mystery. The veteran cricketer did state that he will be trying his best to stay fit to feature for Chennai Super Kings one more time in the coveted tournament, however, only if his body allows him to.

Seeing the 42-year-old’s massive fan-following, almost every Indian cricket fan would be keen on seeing the former Indian skipper feature for Chennai in the IPL in 2024. He featured in 12 innings in the IPL 2023, where he scored 104 runs at an average of 26 runs.
