Kulkarni, who previously served as the senior chief selector, has assumed the role of chairman of the MCA's Cricket Improvement Committee. Although the MCA has published an advertisement for the position of Mumbai head coach, it is anticipated that Omkar Salvi, who led the Mumbai team to its first Ranji Trophy title in eight years last season, will likely retain the role for the upcoming season.
Former Indian cricketers, Preeti Dimri and Sahil Kukreja, are poised to interview the shortlisted candidates on Friday/Saturday, post which the finalized appointments will bear fruit.
