India's former skipper and batting stalwart Virat Kohli is not only one of the greatest batters of this generation but is also one of the fittest cricketers going around. The batting ace works tremendously hard on his fitness, and in the latest interview with Star Sports, he revealed maintaining a constant weight for almost eight years.
While Virat Kohli's batting ability is at an unprecedented height, he is one of the most agile and fastest fielders in the world. His love for fitness is no secret to anyone as he is often seen sweating it out in the gym. Apart from his extensive workouts, the cricketer also maintains a strict diet, keeping himself away from meat.
In a latest candid interview with Star Sports, Kohli remarked that he has weighed the same for the past eight years when enquired about his weight and height. The fact he remembers his weight precisely is an indication enough of his dedication to maintaining a healthy physique.
"I think I am 5'11", but I'm not sure. My weight is 74.5-75 for the last eight years," Kohli said.
Virat Kohli also revealed his favorite desserts
Although the Indian batting ace often refrains from eating sweet dishes, he shed light on his favorite desserts in the interview. He revealed acquiring a taste for Malva Pudding, a trademark dish of South Africa, which he tried after the recommendation of his senior teammate at the time Zaheer Khan. When asked about a favorite Indian dessert, Kohli expressed his love for the homemade Gajar Halwa and Ragi Halwa.
"One dessert I loved eating when I would eat it regularly was Malva Pudding. You get it in South Africa. I tried it for the first time after the recommendation of Mr. Zaheer Khan in Johannesburg. I love that dessert, one of the best. Desi? Gajar ka Halwa, actually we also make Ragi Halwa at home, try it sometime, it is very tasty," Kohli said after being asked about his favorite dessert.
