The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and MahaMetro have announced special transport arrangements to manage the rush and ease traffic congestion for thousands of fans attending the first ODI between India and England in Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) Stadium in Nagpur on Thursday, February 06.

To accommodate the large number of spectators, MahaMetro has increased its Metro train services until 11:30 PM on match day. The last Metro will depart from Khapri Metro Station at this time, allowing fans to return home conveniently without getting caught in post-match traffic.

Fans can take the Metro to Khapri and then switch to special city buses arranged by the NMC for last-mile connectivity to the stadium. For the return journey, they can take buses back to New Airport Metro Station before boarding Metro trains to various destinations. Commuters can also switch lines at the Sitabuldi Interchange to travel towards Automotive Square, Lokmanya Nagar, or Prajapati Nagar, avoiding traffic jams.

NMC schedule late-night bus services

Furthermore, the NMC has arranged special buses at a frequency of every 15 minutes from Panchsheel Square, Sitabuldi, to the stadium. The service will start at 9:00 AM and continue until late at night, providing a reliable and affordable transport option for spectators. Regular fares will be applicable, and tickets can be booked online via the Chalo App or purchased at the spot from a designated ticket counter near Jamtha T-Point. Fans are advised to book tickets in advance to avoid mobile network issues at the venue.

The NMC has also scheduled late-night bus services from Sitabuldi to key locations such as Wadi, Koradi, Katol Naka, Kamptee, and Pardi. With heavy traffic congestion expected, Nagpur Traffic Police has released detailed traffic and parking guidelines. Spectators are encouraged to follow the prescribed routes and instructions to avoid delays and ensure a hassle-free match day experience.
