Nassau County International Cricket Stadium set to be destroyed by July

The share of matches to be held at the Nassau County Stadium in New York for the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 has been completed, and many fans have been left wondering what will happen to the venue. The stadium, which was constructed in just 106 days, will be decommissioned over the course of the next six weeks.
The work for the same began on Wednesday, June 12 right after the USA-India game at the venue concluded. The Eisenhower Park, which housed the stadium, was transformed into a venue where fans could see their favourite cricket teams in action.
The venue will be returned to its original state with free public access to its muddy, grassy, and dusty surfaces. However, the situation around the pitches is quite uncertain as of yet. As per the ICC (International Cricket Council), it is up to the authorities at the Nassau County are free to take a call on the future of the 'temporary' cricketing venue.
“If they want to keep them and handle the required maintenance, they can,” an ICC official was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.

Mumbai Indians may build a new stadium in New York City
In another case, the ICC will be relocating the drop-in pitches to a place where they are needed. The outfield will remain the same and will be in its current location. Furthermore, there were plans to host a few matches of the Major League Cricket (MLC) at the stadium, but the authorities and franchises did not like the idea.
New York is the home turf for the Mumbai Indians team (MI NY) in the MLC (Major League Cricket), and the owners may build a full-fledged stadium on the venue in the near future.
The pitches at the Nassau County Stadium have been the talk of the town ever since the start of the T20 World Cup 2024. It is safe to say that the pitches have left the fans and the players perplexed due to its nature. The Indian team defended a total of 119 runs against Pakistan at the venue, where South Africa defended a meagre total against Bangladesh.
On the contrary, India struggled to chase down 111 runs before the middle order did the job for the side as the Men in Blue registered their third straight win of the season.
