The 18-year-old batter Neelam Bhardwaj became the youngest Indian woman to score a double century. Notably, during her sensational knock, she took on the Nagaland bowlers and entered the record books for her incredible performance in the List A game.

During her marathon knock for Uttarakhand (UK), Bhardwaj hit two sixes and 27 fours, respectively. In the process, she ended up scoring an unbeaten 202* runs off just 137 balls. As a result, UK posted a mammoth 371/2 in their 50-over quota. Her scintillating batting masterclass got her enlisted into a list of elite batters who have achieved the feat in India's domestic cricket circuit. For the unversed, her knock came in the Senior Women's One Day Trophy game played in Ahmedabad.

Indian Women’s cricket has been on the rise and there have been some amazing and talented players who have been giving some incredible performances so far. The likes of Smriti Mandhana, once made headlines for achieving the same feat before Shweta Sehrawat surpassed Mandhana's record. Sehrawat had scored 242 off 150 balls to become the first double centurion in a List A match for Indian women, while Mandhana had scored an unbeaten 224* for Maharashtra Under 19 team against Gujarat Under 19, back in 2013-14.

Besides, the list also includes the former India Women's batting legend and Captain, Mithali Raj, who scored 214 runs against England. Notably, her score remains the highest individual score for an Indian woman in Test history. Raj achieved this feat in the year 2002. 

The Ekta Bisht-led side dominated over Nagaland

Speaking of the List A game, courtesy of Bhardwaj's knock, Uttarakhand women won the game against Nagaland Women by a huge margin of 259 runs. Notably, the side was led by the former India star and World Cup finalist, Ekta Bisht. Besides, Bisht also led from the front by claiming a sensational five-wicket haul. Moreover, during her bowling spell, the Captain also maintained an incredible economy of just 1.40 as well.
