Afghanistan's 23-year-old pacer Naveen-ul-Haq finds himself in the centre of attention of the media following an on-field spat with former Indian skipper Virat Kohli after Royal Challengers Bangalore's victory against Lucknow Super Giants in a low-scoring affair in Lucknow.

While the match was short on runs, it wasn't short on drama as it saw LSG pacer Naveen-ul-Haq in a war of words with a fired-up Virat Kohli during the 17th over of the second innings. Their spat continued even after the conclusion of the game, which even drew in LSG's mentor and former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir.

Following the altercation, the Afghanistan pacer reportedly told one of his LSG teammates that he was not going to take any abuse on the field from anyone, explaining his on-field reactions during the game against RCB.

“I have come here to play in the IPL, not to take abuse from anyone,” The Indian Express learns he told one of his LSG teammates.

Naveen shared a cryptic post after his altercation with Virat Kohli

The 23-year pacer from Kabul was fined 50 per cent of his match fee after his involvement in the on-field fiasco with Kohli. But it did not end there as the Afghan cricketer posted a cryptic social media post in the aftermath of the controversy.

“You get what you deserve and that’s how it should be and that’s how it goes,” shared Naveen on his Instagram story.

Participating in his first-ever IPL, Naveen has already scalped seven wickets in the tournament in just four appearances for the Lucknow Super Giants. He was one of LSG's only shining lights in a rather disappointing loss against RCB in front of their home crowd after returning with brilliant figures of 3/30 in his four overs.
