The ODI World Cup 2023 is looming right around the corner with the marquee event all set to begin on October 5, and the tournament being completely hosted by India for the first time in history. Hence, the excitement level of the fans will be at an all-time high as well. Furthermore, in brilliant news for the fans, the ticket registrations for the World Cup can be accessed now as well.
This means that fans can now register for tickets, which would enable them to receive on-sale news ahead of ticket sales. People can register themselves on the official website of the Cricket World Cup, and the tickets will be going on sale in different phases in order to ensure proper management and provide the best chance for the fans to witness their favourite players in action for one of the biggest tournaments in the sport. The different phases for the ticket registrations would begin for non-India warm-up matches and all non-India event matches on August 25, while registration for India matches at Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram will begin on August 30.
August 31 will be the day for India matches at Chennai, Delhi, and Pune. September 1 for India matches at Dharamsala, Lucknow, and Mumbai; September 2 for India matches at Bengaluru and Kolkata, September 3 for India matches at Ahmedabad; and September 15 for the Semi-Finals and Final, respectively.
England take on New Zealand in season opener on October 5
Speaking of the tournament, the World Cup 2023 will begin with a thrilling clash between the two finalists of the 2019 World Cup. England and New Zealand will begin the proceedings by facing each other in the season opener on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Furthermore, the much-anticipated clash between India and Pakistan will take place on October 14, at the same venue in Ahmedabad as well. Led by Rohit Sharma, it could be interesting to see whether India will be able to break the ICC jinx and lift their first ICC title since the 2013 Champions Trophy.
