Former Pakistan cricketer Hasan Raza has been capturing many headlines recently after he said the ICC (International Cricket Council) should check the balls that are provided to the Indian team for their matches in the ODI World Cup 2023.

As India recently breezed past in-form South Africa, Raza pointed out the dismissal of Rassie van der Dussen at the hands of ace all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. Speaking of the same, Raza opined that the DRS is being manipulated by the Indian team.

“Jadeja picked up five wickets and finished with career-best figures. We were talking about technology where DRS was being taken. [Rassie] van der Dussen was the batter, and the ball was hitting the middle stump after pitching on leg stump. How is that possible?” Raza said on a Pakistan news channel.

“The impact was in line, but the ball was headed towards the leg stump. Like everyone else, I am just sharing my opinion. I am saying that such things should be checked. DRS is being manipulated and that is clearly visible,” he added.

Furthermore, Raza also stated that this was not the first time when a DRS call did not look convincing. He went onto allege that the DRS was manipulated when India took on Pakistan earlier in the World Cup 2023. The former Pakistan further alleged that the DRS was also manipulatedwhen India won the World Cup in 2011.

"It was not the first time. The review of the match between Pakistan and South Africa and the last wicket partnership They did not even apologise. Home conditions and home advantages come into play," Raza said.

Speaking of team India’s performances, after breezing past South Africa in the ODI World Cup 2023, the Men in Blue will be going up against the Netherlands in the 45th game of the tournament on Sunday, November 12.
