Nathan Lyon has expressed his readiness to participate in the ODI World Cup 2023, assuring Australian coach Andrew McDonald that he has fully recuperated from his calf injury and is prepared to be considered for selection if needed.

The announcement follows speculations about Adam Zampa's injury before Australia's World Cup opener. Notably, Lyon, who is 35 years old, hasn't been in action since suffering a calf injury during the second Ashes Test at Lord's, which subsequently led to his absence for the remainder of the series.
