Virat Kohli received a huge roar from the crowd as he rolled his arm over in the ongoing game against Bangladesh in ODI World Cup 2023.
India and Bangladesh are currently playing a crucial encounter in the ODI World Cup 2023 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
Bangladesh opted to bat first after winning the toss. In the ninth over, Rohit Sharma introduced Hardik Pandya into the attack, looking for the first breakthrough. However, the star all-rounder suffered an injury and had to limp off the field after bowling just three deliveries. Rohit called Virat Kohli and asked him to complete the remaining over. The crowd in Pune, who had gone to watch the former India captain enthral with the bat, got to see the stalwart bowling some medium-pace. They gave a huge roar as Kohli was getting set to bowl his first ball.

Virat bowled off the wrong foot and sent three good inswingers at gentle speeds. The Bangladeshi batters showed respect to the three deliveries and scored a couple of singles. The commentators were impressed with Kohli's accuracy in spite of bowling after six years in ODI cricket.
While the fans enjoyed Kohli's brief stint with the ball, they will be worried about Hardik's injury status. The cricketer, who recently turned 30, attempted to stop a Litton Das straight drive with his leg. However, he didn't succeed in his quest as the ball raced away to the fence. To make matters worse, the Baroda-born twisted his left ankle. The physio rushed out, and Hardik was taped up in quick time. He tried to run but experienced discomfort and had to leave the field.

His injury will be monitored in the dressing room, and fans will be keeping their fingers crossed as Hardik's ability as an all-rounder adds a lot of balance to the side.
