Prithvi Shaw helped Northamptonshire Steelbacks to a resounding six-wicket victory over Durham in a thrilling One-Day Cup match. Shaw, fresh from his incredible 244-run innings, continued his scintillating form with an unbeaten 125 runs, leading his team to victory with 24.2 overs to spare.

Shaw's assault on Durham's bowlers was nothing short of breathtaking. He hammered 15 fours and seven sixes in just 76 deliveries, showcasing his remarkable batting ability. Notably, he achieved a remarkable feat - his 10th List A hundred - with a splendid 68-ball century.

Luke Procter's exceptional bowling performance also contributed to Northamptonshire's dominance. Procter, in a great spell, secured a List A career-best of 4/34, ripping through Durham's middle order. Despite Liam Trevaskis' valiant effort of 37 runs, Durham's final total always seemed insufficient, as they fell short of batting out their fifty overs.

The match's dynamics were set right from the beginning as Northamptonshire's bowlers denied Durham's openers' aggression. The initial powerplay yielded a modest 36 runs, underscoring the wicket's slowness and Northamptonshire's disciplined bowling.

While David Bedingham and Michael Jones attempted to have a recovery, Procter's prowess dismantled Durham's batting lineup. James Sales chipped in by removing Durham's skipper, while spin bowlers, Simon Kerrigan and Rob Keogh got the better of the middle order.

Shaw's response in Northamptonshire's chase was electrifying, hitting a flurry of boundaries and taking calculated risks. Despite a missed opportunity on 21, he seized his second chance to guide his team to a fifty within the eighth over. Even though Durham's George Drissell managed to disrupt proceedings with two quick wickets, Shaw's resilience prevailed as he countered with consecutive sixes to reach his half-century.

Partnering with Keogh, Shaw turned up the heat, hammering Durham's bowlers around the park. His explosive hitting, particularly against Scott Borthwick, demonstrated his dominance. As Shaw and Keogh cruised past the century partnership milestone, Durham's hopes diminished.

Shaw's blistering onslaught left Durham no room for recovery. With a barrage of boundaries against Drissell, he secured the victory with a whopping 24.2 overs to spare.
