'Only Shimron Hetmyer played T20, rest were playing Test cricket' - Aakash Chopra on PBKS-RR clash

Rajasthan Royals (RR) picked up their fifth win of the IPL 2024 by defeating the Punjab Kings (PBKS) by three wickets, at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mohali on Saturday, April 13. 

Punjab batted first and put up a 147-run total which Rajasthan chased down in a final-over thriller. After the win, the Royals solidified their top spot in the table, with five wins in six games. On the other hand, Punjab are eighth with just two wins and four losses in as many games.

JioCinema IPL experts Zaheer Khan, RP Singh, and Aakash Chopra praised Keshav Maharaj (2/23) and Shimron Hetmyer (27 runs off 10 balls) for their performances on Match Centre Live.

Zaheer Khan on Keshav Maharaj - “It’s a good signing for RR. It’s a well-rounded squad, a well-rounded playing XI. Even though Ashwin wasn’t playing today, they still put up a playing XI with enough firepower when it comes to spin bowlers. These two spin bowlers haven’t disappointed. Keshav Maharaj can contribute with the bat also but the control he showed today was terrific."

RP Singh on Keshav Maharaj - "Keshav bowled really well. Everyone was getting stuck in his bowling; at no point did someone play him really well. Taking Jonny Bairstow's wicket was great, and after that, he sent Sam Curran back as well... Keshav's bowling has been great. He usually doesn't turn the ball but today he was turning it as well."
