The five-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on Punjab Kings (PBKS) on April 30 at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. Earlier, in IPL 2025, PBKS crushed CSK at Mullanpur by 18 runs. The youngster Priyansh Arya scored 103 runs in 42 balls against CSK, which made the team post a commanding total on the board.
Ahead of the match, PBKS pacer Arshdeep Singh admitted that there is no specific batter which he aims to dismiss. The left-arm pacer insisted that he wants to defend the batters and make the team reach the victory lines. The 26-year-old acknowledged that when the team gave him the chance, he will aim to stop the runs.
“There is no [specific] wicket that I want to take. As I told you that the team should give chances, it's not necessary that I want to take wickets. It may be that I have to defend 10 runs and there is a batsman in front of me. I want to defend [the runs]. It doesn't matter if he is out or not. But the team won the match. As such, there is no batsman or any other name that I have thought of out. I just need to try to take as many wickets as possible. And when the team gives me a chance to stop the flow of runs, I do it,” said Arshdeep to Star Sports.

What if Rohit and Head opened for Mumbai Indians in IPL?

Meanwhile, CSK are struggling at the bottom of the points table with a negligible chance of making it to the playoffs and will aim to win the match in front of the home crowd. PBKS are currently placed fifth and remain in contention for a playoffs spot, with five matches left for them to play in this year’s IPL.
