In a recent development in the Pakistan cricket scene, the national selection committee has announced Haseebullah as the replacement player for Azam Khan in the ongoing T20I series against New Zealand. Haseebullah, a 21-year-old wicketkeeper/batter, is set to join the Pakistan side after tonight’s third T20I match. He will be available for selection in the remaining two T20Is scheduled to take place in Lahore on Thursday and Saturday, respectively. Haseebullah previously made his sole T20I appearance against New Zealand earlier this year.
Looking at Haseebullah Khan's career stats across different formats, it's evident that he possesses remarkable skills. While he is yet to make a mark in T20 Internationals with one match under his belt, his performance in First-Class cricket is commendable. With 923 runs at an average of 38.45, including four centuries and three half-centuries, he has showcased consistency and talent.
In List A cricket, Khan's record is even more impressive, boasting 1751 runs at an average of 48.63, with seven centuries and six half-centuries. In T20s, he has contributed 481 runs at an average of 20.91, including three half-centuries. Haseebullah's stats highlight his ability to perform across different formats of the game.

Moving on to the series, the second T20I match between Pakistan and New Zealand saw Pakistan emerging victorious by seven wickets. Held at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, the match witnessed New Zealand's innings ending at 90 runs in 18.1 overs. Pakistan's bowlers, led by Shaheen Afridi and Abrar Ahmed, put up a commendable performance to restrict New Zealand's batting lineup. In response, Pakistan chased down the target of 91 runs in 12.1 overs, with Mohammad Rizwan leading the charge with an unbeaten 45 runs.
The fourth and fifth T20I match between Pakistan and New Zealand is scheduled for April 25 and 27, at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
