Both foreign head coaches of Pakistan, Gary Kirsten and Jason Gillespie, have made suggestions to the PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) to avoid taking disciplinary actions against players, allowing them to concentrate on the upcoming international season.

According to reports, there had been talks within the PCB earlier about forming a disciplinary committee that would address the misconduct of players during tours of Ireland, England, and the T20 World Cup.

However, the same source stated that no such committee has been established yet as per the board's constitution. The constitution requires the PCB chairman to appoint independent disciplinary committees in order to handle such issues.

Mohsin Naqvi recently held discussions with Gary Kirsten and Jason Gillespie, alongside selectors Mohammad Yousuf and Asad Shafiq. The discussions brought forth the matter of focusing on future performances of the players.

Furthermore, both head coaches will consult with the captains and personally take responsibility for workload management for the players, however, it is expected that only the players who have underperformed could be dropped for the upcoming international season.

Furthermore, the second Test will begin from August 30 at the National Stadium, Karachi. After a horrid performance in the T20 World Cup 2024, the Men in Green will hope to make up for their performances in the longest format. The sides will aim to register wins across both Tests and continue their form.

After the Bangladesh series, the side’s Test assignments will continue as they are set to take on England in a three-game Test series. The first Test will begin from October 7 in Multan, and taking on the Ben Stokes-led side could prove to be a daunting challenge for the side.
