Pakistan women cricketers engage in fun off-field chat with Australian counterparts after third ODI
Nida Dar was seen interacting with a few of the Pakistan fans too who had gathered for the game at the venue.
Watching two teams battle it out on the field is something that fans of the sport witness quite often, but rarely do we get to see players from opposing sides coming together and having a riveting conversation after an intense day of cricket.
The third ODI of the series ended in favor of the Aussies with Pakistan being able to score only 235 out of their given overs. The match-up between the sides saw the players from both the teams get involved in a healthy post-match conversation at the North Sydney Oval on Saturday, January 21.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) posted a video of the Pakistan players including Nida Dar, wicketkeeper-batter Sidra Nawaz, Fatima Sana, Tuba Hassan among others interacting with Australia skipper Meg Lanning, Jess Jonassen and others, which seemed like a wholesome chat between the athletes. Dar was then seen interacting with a few of the Pakistan fans too who had gathered for the game at the venue.
Pakistan team is currently in Australia for a white-ball tour which includes three T20Is and three ODIs. The ODI series just got completed and Australia thoroughly dominated the proceedings winning all three games by convincing margins.
Beth Mooney was the star batter with 191 runs in three matches and scoring at a great average of 95.50. Renowned Australian all-rounder Ashleigh Gardener was the joint-highest wicket-taker in the series with five wickets at an economy of 3.15.
A fan was lucky enough to get a signed jersey from Pakistani all-rounder Nida Dar. The fan seemed overwhelmed by her gesture and then Nida proceeded to click a few photos with some of the other fans.
The three-match T20I series is set to begin this Tuesday (January 24) and Pakistan would hope for a better performance after a dismal show in the ODI series. The series would be of great importance since the Women's T20 World Cup is just round the corner, while the Australians would be looking to add another title to their already glorious trophy cabinet.
