Pakistan's PTVC, Tower Sports secure ICC cricket rights until the end of 2025

As Pakistan gears up to host the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025, there is no clear-cut confirmation about the conduct of the event solely in Pakistan. However, Pakistan Cricket Board chief, Mohsin Naqvi had hinted at no hiccups ahead of the tournament. But one aspect that ICC has assured Pakistan of is the TV rights and the digital rights for all the ICC events up until the end of 2025.
The ICC, on Tuesday, announced that it has awarded the ICC cricket rights till the end of 2025 to Pakistan Television Corporation (PTVC) and Tower Sports. Tower Sports is the Landing Rights Licence holder of Ten Sports in Pakistan. This comes in the wake of numerous ICC events that are lined up including T20 World Cup 2024.
“We are delighted to welcome PTVC and Tower Sports into our portfolio of broadcast partners for the next two years. Pakistan is a very important market for world cricket with a large and passionate fan base and we are thrilled to be able to take ICC events to more people in the country,” said ICC Chief Executive, Geoff Allardice as quoted by ICC in Media release.

Pakistan Media entities to broadcast six ICC events up until 2025
Both entities have secured non-exclusive rights for six men and women ICC events within the time frame of 2025. The package not only included Television rights but also Digital rights, for Pakistan audience make use of and get entertained at the same time.
The events that include the package are ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025, ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, ICC World Test Championship Final 2025 and ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.
