Parthiv Patel joins Gujarat Titans as assistant and batting coach

2022 IPL (Indian Premier League) champions Gujarat Titans recently came forward and announced the former India cricketer Parthiv Patel as Gujarat Titans' new assistant and batting coach. It is worth noting that Patel was a part of Mumbai Indians as their talent scout for three seasons. 

Furthermore, he was also the batting coach of Mumbai Emirates in 2023 and will now hope that his guidance will help Gujarat Titans perform and win their potential second IPL title. 

The news of Parthiv joining GT was announced by the franchise itself as they took to social media and made the announcement. “Aapdo Gujju chokro Parthiv Patel joins Gujarat Titans as Assistant and Batting Coach!” GT captioned the post. 

Furthermore, the franchise released a statement where they made the appointment official. The side looked hopeful that the former India cricketer would be a fine addition to their squad.

Gujarat Titans  look to improve in upcoming season

With the IPL 2025 mega auction approaching, Gujarat Titans would be hopeful of getting the best possible players in their squad. Having won the IPL 2022 under Hardik Pandya’s captaincy, GT were under the leadership of Shubman Gill in the IPL 2024 after Pandya was exchanged for Mumbai Indians. 

In the IPL 2024, Gujarat failed to reach the knockout stages of the tournament after playing the final in 2023. The side finished the competition in eighth place in the standings, with five wins and seven losses in the 14 games that they played. The side will hope that with a new squad, they can improve and get their hands on their second IPL title.
