The Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024) has been a blockbuster season as fans have got to witness some breathtaking cricketing action in the tournament so far. Apart from top-notch performances from the players, there have been some unusual moments witnessed on the field as well. Another bizarre incident was witnessed during Match 33 between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Mumbai Indians (MI) as Tilak Varma hit the spider cam in the last over of the first innings.
Facing the fourth ball of the over bowled by Harshal Patel, the southpaw fetched a widish delivery from outside off stump as he hit it in the air towards deep mid-wicket. However, the spider cam got in the way as the ball ended up hitting its head and came back towards the pitch. As a result, the umpire had to signal a dead ball and Patel had to re-bowl the fourth delivery again which left him frustrated which he vented out by mincing a few words.
