The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officially appointed Grant Bradburn as the head coach of the national team on Sunday, May 13. Following a rigorous recruiting process by the apex board, Bradburn, who was appointed as the interim coach in April, is now set to serve a two-year contract with the side.
Notably, he served during the recently concluded home series against New Zealand wherein the Men in Green comfortably sealed the five-match ODI series, 4-1, and the five-match T20I series, 2-2. The PCB chief, Najam Sethi, confirmed his appointment and expressed his delight in having Bradburn on board for the next two years.
“I am delighted to name Grant Bradburn as the head coach of our men’s side. Bradburn joins the side with plethora of coaching experience. After having worked with our men’s side before and at the National Cricket Academy, he understands our culture and philosophy of cricket well and is an ideal candidate to take our team forward,” told Sethi in a press release.
“After the announcement of Mickey Arthur as team director, Bradburn’s appointment is another step in our endeavours of putting together a highly qualified coaching panel so our players can benefit from their experiences and dominate world cricket in all three formats,” Sethi added.
