Delhi Capitals' co-owner, Parth Jindal, took to Twitter on Wednesday to inform the fans that the franchise has already started preparing for the next edition of the Indian Premier League. Furthermore, he stated they would strive diligently to take Delhi to where they want it to be under the guidance of Sourav Ganguly and Ricky Ponting.
Capitals' IPL run in the 2023 season was a nightmare given that they lost the first five matches in succession. They managed to momentarily gain their rhythm in the midst of their campaign before returning back to their old ways and finishing ninth on the points table with just ten points after 14 fixtures.
"Preparations for next year’s @IPL are underway here @DelhiCapitals alongside @SGanguly99 and @RickyPonting we assure the fans that Kiran and I are working hard to get back to where we want this franchise to be and that is right at the very top," Parth Jindal said in his tweet.

Notably, Rishabh Pant led the side during the 15th edition and was unable to play in the 2023 edition due to the injuries he suffered in a car accident in December 2022, which made circumstances terrible for Delhi.
Delhi's performances took a hit as some of their big players including Prithvi Shaw and Rilee Rossouw couldn't really turn up to the stage with consistently brilliant performances. Moreover, Axar Patel's batting position lower down the order sparked criticism during the 2023 season.
Notably, Delhi Capitals entered the IPL playoffs three times in consecutive years between 2019 and 2021, making it to the finals in 2020. Since then, they haven't managed to make it to the playoffs.
In addition, it is uncertain whether Rishabh Pant will be fit for action in the IPL next year, as well as whether assistant coaches Shane Watson and James Hopes will keep their spots or not.
