Young India batter Prithvi Shaw was trolled by a social media user for his poor fitness. However, the 23-year-old did not shy away from the body-shaming incident as he came up with a savage response to the user. Earlier, Shaw had posted a photo of him on his social media handle about joining Northamptonshire County Cricket Club for the Royal London One Day Cup in England.

However, under the post, a user tried to mock Shaw’s physical appearance, saying that he needed to be fit like Virat Kohli. Moreover, he even asked him to follow Kohli's strict fitness regime which helped him to elevate his cricket career to another level. Though, to everyone's amusement, Shaw's reply caught the troll off guard as he wittingly replied saying that he would carry out his orders right away.

“A pritvi bhai idki vdki ka chakkar chod aur Kohli k trh apne body ko transform kar…jo jo process usne kia thaw hi kar…," the user commented on his Instagram post.

“ji pandit ji jaisi apki aagya," Shaw replied to the user.

Shaw ruled out of One Day Cup 2023 due to knee injury

Prithvi Shaw was in fine form during the ongoing Royal London One Day Cup 2023, scoring a double hundred and a century for Northamptonshire. However, he was ruled out of the tournament after sustaining a knee injury while fielding during a match against Durham. The scan results after the injury forced him to withdraw from the remainder of his tenure with the cricket club.

The 23-year-old is currently receiving treatment for the injury in the United Kingdom. Notably, he is expected to miss out on the forthcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as well as the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Earlier it was said that Shaw's injury was looking bad and he might undergo surgery. However, as per the recent scan reports, it was made clear that surgery would not be needed. Notably, the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) anticipates him to be back at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru to recuperate from the injury.

Moreover, Shaw amassed 429 runs at an average of 143.00 from four matches in the ongoing ODI tournament.
