The Karachi Kings have been dealt a blow ahead of their first PSL 2025 game against the Multan Sultans as one of their key players, wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das, has been ruled out of the tournament due to a finger injury. It is a sad turn of events for the Bangladesh star who was looking forward to the tournament.
The Karachi Kings had roped in the Bangladesh keeper, who was most likely going to play in the top order. Das revealed that he suffered the injury during a practice session with the team. The medical reports mentioned it was a hairline fracture. At the end of the post, Das said he was flying back to Bangladesh and sent his good wishes to the Kings ahead of the tournament.
“Hope you all are well. I was truly excited to play in the PSL for Karachi Kings, but the Almighty had other plans. During a practice session, I picked up a finger injury. Scans revealed a hairline fracture, and recovery will take at least 2 weeks. So sadly, my PSL mission is over before it even began. I’m flying back to Bangladesh and seeking your prayers & love for a quick recovery. Wishing the very best of luck to my team Karachi Kings,” Das posted on Facebook.

The Karachi Kings have a new leader this season
The side was led by Pakistan Test skipper Shan Masood last season which was a disappointing one for the Kings. It led the franchise to appoint Australia legendary batter David Warner as the new skipper who is also the most expensive player in the tournament as well.
The first game itself will be a big challenge for the Karachi Kings as they will be up against last season's finalists Multan Sultans who will be led by Mohammad Rizwan on Saturday, April 12. They will be hoping to start well in this tournament and find some form.
