Harpreet featured in three matches in the 16th edition of the top-tier league and accumulated 77 runs at an average of 25.67. It is worth mentioning that the Punjab batter played his first IPL match after 10 years and 332 days, breaking the record for the longest gap between two fixtures in the lucrative T20 competition.
For the unversed, the 31-year-old last donned the outfit of now-defunct Pune Warriors India in 2012. The batter garnered name in the 2022-23 season of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, as he amassed 196 runs at a brilliant average of 49.00 in six appearances for Chhattisgarh.
Harpreet also grabbed eyeballs in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022, as he was among the leading run-getters of the competition. Having collected a humongous 516 runs in seven appearances, Harpreet laced it with four half-centuries and two tons for Chhattisgarh.
