Virender Sehwag analyzed SRH's batting against KKR. The former PBKS batter took a dig at the Punjab-based franchise in the process and claimed they used to put a spoke in their own wheels, and compared SRH's batting to theirs. Sehwag noted that SRH couldn't chase 201 and posted relatively lower totals like 163 and 120 in their previous games.

Sehwag felt SRH could have chased 201 against KKR, as he felt the opponents didn't have a good bowling attack and the surface was good. The former Indian batter said the ball didn't turn and there wasn't much help in the surface apart from it being on the slower side. He felt SRH batters did not show adaptability, which was key in the middle.

"Punjab used to put a spoke in their own wheels, and now it seems they have given it to Hyderabad. They made 190 and lost, then made about 160 and lost, today they couldn't chase down 200. Neither was (KKR's) bowling attack nor the wicket (too difficult to deal with). They batted first and scored 200. We could see that the ball wasn't turning; there wasn't too much help in any way for the bowlers. It is just that it was a little slow, and the bowlers were bowling mostly slow balls, but you get adjusted to that if you stay in the crease for some time," said Sehwag to Cricbuzz.

The former attacking batter was disappointed by SRH's batting, knowing their aggressive brand of cricket. He felt SRH should have got the job done despite the match being in Kolkata.

"Hyderabad has disappointed. What can I say? They've got so many batters and nobody could score runs, and they get all out at 120. The paying public has come to see you. Yes, the game was in Kolkata, but Hyderabad has a reputation, that it will be entertaining to watch. It had just disappeared here," added Sehwag.
