The Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) has received INR 15 crore from the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India). The fund was issued by the BCCI to make payments and organise tournaments, keeping an eye on the domestic season of 2024–25.

Almost a month ago, one of the ad hoc members, Dharamveer Singh Shekhawat, met the BCCI’s secretary, Jay Shah, during an informal meeting and requested that he issue funds to ‘hold camps and tournaments’ in the lead-up to the upcoming season.

"We are giving account numbers of the match officials and players to the BCCI and they will directly transfer the remuneration to them. This payment is included in the fund sanctioned to us,” the RCA committee co-ordinator Jaideep Bihani was quoted as saying by the Times of India.

Bihani also shared that the committee will be holding the RCA elections by the end of August, he also shared that in their last meeting. The representatives of Vedanta’s Hindustan Zinc Limited had asked them to restart the construction work of the new RCA Jaipur stadium as soon as possible.

"Their concern is regarding the construction work, and they asked us to quickly get it started. Their CSR fund will lapse, so they want to use that money here. But currently our priority is to ensure that RCA elections are held in the first place,” Bihani said.

Furthermore, a three-day state-level curator and groundsmen seminar also ended at the RCA, the seminar saw participation from every cricket association in the state. Also, the state-level Under-19 tournament kicked off in Bikaner where Jaisalmer and Tonk registered victories on the first day.

It is yet to be reported how the RCA implements the money given to the board by the BCCI and how various tournaments are conducted over the coming season of 2024-25.
