Ranji Trophy 2024-25: Mumbai-Haryana quarter final match shifted to Eden Gardens, Kolkata
The Mumbai Cricket Association is making arrangements to fly the team to Kolkata.
The Ranji Trophy quarter-final matches are set to begin in just three days and this will feature some of the best teams in Domestic cricket. One of the biggest favourites in the tournament is the Mumbai side who will be playing their knockout match against Haryana who finished on top in Group C.
This will be an interesting matchup between the two sides. While Mumbai will be looking forward to defending their title, Haryana has not won a single title since the 1990-91 season under the leadership of Kapil Dev. The two sides have some big superstars in the mix where international players Shivam Dube and Suryakumar Yadav also made themselves available for the quarter-final match against Haryana. However, there will be some changes that will be made just before the game as the venue has been shifted.

The quarter-final match was set to be played at the CH Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium in Lahli, Rohtak which has been the home ground for Haryana but the plans have changed with the new venue of the match being the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) is making arrangements for the team to fly to Kolkata and the Haryana team is also expected to reach the venue by Wednesday.
Speaking of the other quarter-final matches, the J&K team will also not enjoy hosting rights in their quarter-finals against Kerala due to unfavourable conditions at Jammu and the match will be played at the MCA Stadium in Pune. The match between Vidarbha and Tamil Nadu will be played at the Civil Lines Stadium in Nagpur whereas the game between Saurashtra and Gujarat will be played at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot.
