Virat Kohli set to play Ranji Trophy match for the first time since 2012

Virat Kohli will be playing a Ranji Trophy match for the first time since 2012. He will be back in whites for Delhi with their last Ranji Trophy 2024-25 league game against Railways, scheduled to commence from January 30. As the former India captain will be back in action at the iconic Arun Jaitley Stadium, the fans will throng the stands to witness the star batter in action. 

Fans excited for Kohli's return

Sensing the fervour Kohli’s domestic return has created, Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) has rolled out 10000 extra seats for the fans to witness the luminary showcasing his skills.

For the fans who cannot make it to the ground, there is a good news as the game will be broadcast live on Ranji Trophy’s official broadcaster Sports 18 channel. The live streaming of the same will be on Jio Cinema app and website.

Kohli’s return to national duties after Ranji Trophy

Meanwhile, Kohli will return to his national duties after the conclusion of the Ranji clash as India will be taking on England in a three-match ODI series at home, with the first game to be played on February 6 in Nagpur. The series is touted as the stepping stone for the preparation ahead of the crucial Champions Trophy 2025. India will be playing Bangladesh in their first game of the multi-team tournament on February 20.
