Star Indian batter Virat Kohli’s return to the Ranji Trophy after 12 years was an event in itself, but what caught everyone’s attention during Delhi’s match against Railways at Arun Jaitley Stadium was the presence of his doppelganger.
Among the thousands of fans who gathered to witness Kohli’s comeback, one individual had a stark resemblance to the former India captain, leading to other spectators taking photographs with him. The doppelganger sported a fully-grown beard and donned similar sunglasses as Kohli.

Fans started arriving outside the stadium as early as 5 AM, hoping to get a chance to watch the iconic batter in action. The stadium was buzzing with chants of ‘Kohli-Kohli’ and 'RCB RCB' as school children, office professionals, and local shop owners made their way to the venue.
Meanwhile, the 36-year-old's return to the Ranji Trophy was brief as he managed to score just six runs before being dismissed by Railways pacer Himanshu Sangwan. The Delhi batter started his innings with solid intent, even managing to drive Himanshu Sangwan to the straight boundary. However, in the very next delivery, Sangwan bowled a brilliant length delivery that breached Kohli’s defense, sending his off-stump cartwheeling.
