Rashid Khan takes 150 wickets in IPL, becomes third player to achieve this feat

Gujarat Titans' bowler Rashid Khan has entered the elite players club after becoming the third fastest bowler to claim 150 wickets in the Indian Premier League (IPL) history. The veteran right-arm leg spinner is famous for bowling googlies and confusing the batters at any stage of the game. 

The player has been a part of the IPL since 2017 and has finally entered the list of legendary bowlers, Lasith Malinga (105 games) and Yuzvendra Chahal (118 games). The spinner has played 122 games in the league and showcased his mastery in T20 cricket. Rashid achieved this feat during the Gujarat Titans' first game of the season against the Punjab Kings. 

He dismissed PBKS opener Priyansh Arya and achieved this feat. Arya was smashing the GT bowling attack when Rashid came in and dismissed him on 47 runs off 23 balls. The batter had hit seven boundaries and two sixes when he was on the crease. 

The fifth game between GT and PBKS is going on at a great pace as PBKS posted 243 runs on the board, courtesy of Shreyas Iyer's 97* and Shashank Singh's 44*. Both the batters wreaked havoc on the GT bowlers towards the end of the innings. Shashank smashed 22 runs in the last over off Mohammed Siraj. GT bowlers weren't very impressive, as they were super expensive throughout the innings.

However, R. Sai Kishore was the team's star bowler, taking three wickets and conceding just 30 runs in four overs. The game has reached an interesting point where GT have a scope of chasing the mammoth total. As we write, Jos Buttler and Sherfane Rutherford are on the crease, trying to take their team home. It will be interesting to see which way the game turns at the end of the second innings.
